http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/teacher-says-she-was-forced-job-because-shes-gay/nknp3/Pfeiffer said that a few days after the conversation with the schools director, she was told to come by the school and pick up her things. At about the same time, a letter from the schools director went out to parents explaining only that due to personal reasons Pfeiffer would not be teaching at Aloma anymore.
Parents contacted by 9 Investigates confirm that school leaders initially told them Pfeiffer left for personal reasons, however, when pressed, the same leaders further explained that Pfeiffer no longer worked at the school due to her lifestyle choices....
Aloma Methodist Early Childhood Learning Center provides VPK (voluntary prekindergarten) and, in its most recent inspection by the Florida Department of Children and Families, has the capacity for 99 children, however, only 70 were present at the inspection carried out in April of 2014. The state of Florida pays for VPK with a base student allotment of $2,442 for the school year (Orange County) and $2,080 for the summer for each child enrolled in a VPK school.
Well, good thing those 2-year-olds won't be exposed to the gay agenda.
Wait, wut? The state of Florida is paying these bigots?!

(39,215 posts)government could not tell me where to go to college just because they provided my tuition. If all these parents are eligible for some kind of grant they are the ones choosing the school.

(14,337 posts)She was very open about it. In fact her live in SO was also a teacher at the school. Since her parents were from the same area as me (NY/NJ), and the fact that I had a Lesbian daughter her age, we talked a lot.
She told me her goal, and her SO other's, was to leave Naples as soon as she got her Teacher's Certification. They wanted to move to Tampa which not only was far gay friendlier, but also younger demographics than Naples.
The only problem at work there seemed to be was that they both had a relationship and were working in the same place. The gay issue was not as much of a problem as the relationship issue working in the same school as subordinates. Hell, I quit my business job decades before when I was dating my male future husband because it became an issue having a relationship working in the same place. Unfortunately, even today, whether straight or gay, that still is a problem.
I lost touch with her when I transferred. I hope she and her SO made it to Tampa. Lovely young woman who reminded me of my own daughter.
