a Heb Bush (as pronounced in the barrio where the fine young Hispanic lad from the decent hard-working Latino family grew up), but on TV everyone keeps talking about this Jeb individual. Are they one and the same?

(15,031 posts)The original "J.E.B.," James Ewell Brown "Jeb" Stuart, was a military commander of considerable renown, famed for his flamboyance on the field and his success in battle.
"Bush Bush" is a simpleton, given to parroting what his wealthy benefactors wish to hear, and seemingly incapable of "being his own man," despite his relentless efforts to convince people of this in the face of ever-mounting evidence that disproves it.
Both men's reputations will likely meet similar fates: As at Gettysburg, when Jeb Stuart's hubris caused his absence at the most critical moment, so the overweening pride of "Bush Bush" may ultimately cause his downfall as he'll be too far up his own ass to realize the electorate no longer wants him or his family around anymore.
