(14,733 posts)Is there some reason to believe that horse has been beaten before, or by that guy? He apparently stole the horse while attempting to elude police, it wasn't his. And the prior 'animal cruelty' charge against him stems from shooting a dog from what I read elsewhere, not beating a horse.
So why would that horse think that?

I found it so sad and also wonderful that the horse just backed off. The horse was in horror at what humans do to one another.
That video is so horrible on every single level. The most caring creature there was the horse.

(16,199 posts)They honestly feel it's appropriate to beat someone for running. The poor man's girlfriend is rightfully heartbroken that police beat a man who had clearly surrendered (hands behind back) after being tazed, but police don't see it like that at all. They feel justified to "punish" the man for running, surrender or not.
Sadly, the only distinction this case has is that it is on video. Police are out of control in this country.
