But I'll tell you, his ringing support of John Kerry was wonderful. McCain should know better - I'm beginning to wonder if his "senior moments" are becoming a consistent behavior pattern. He needs to retire but, obviously, that's not going to happen unless he gets voted out.

And, yes, I still harbor fantasies of another Kerry campaign.

He brilliantly narrowed it down to their attack on John Kerry because of his record as a veteran, and their letter to a country these republicans don't trust which puzzled Obama as to why they told the leader of Iran not to trust Obama.

Actually and logically, when you think about it, they tore them selves a new one.

83. We all loved the press conference

and who didn't wonder what a press conference will be like when he's out of office.

Warren, Sanders, and Biden won't be too bad, maybe even good. Not sure of O'Malley, but I know who would have a news conference full of putoffs and no answers, and a few ha ha's.

Obama don't leave. Get a job as the White House Press Secretary so's we can see you and hear you. Do it for us old people who aren't long for this world.

86. loved O's words to the 47 foolish ones, "Consistency is the hobgoblin of narrow minds,"

“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.”

It was nearly 1 a.m. ECT here.

I missed out on the early wave of enthusiasm and exuberance.

Bit late to the party, but President OBAMA,

But as I asked before, and have yet to have heard a single suggestion:

What are Democrats going to DO with regards to what (in the minimum) looks to have crossed the line into deliberate treason and sedition?

Quite clearly, tough talk doesn't rattle these turncoat a**holes one bit.

98. My fantasy presidential announcement
Sun Apr 12, 2015, 08:31 AM

made at the end of the inevitable presser declaring a successful Iran nuclear agreement:

"Now that we've reached this historical achievement, I have assigned our remarkable Secretary of State, John Kerry, to apply his considerable diplomatic skills to the biggest, most dangerous threat to our country, one that has reared its ugly head, and even grown, during the last six years -- the Republican Party. I recognize that this challenge is more difficult, insidious, and pervasive than any other we have faced, including finding and killing Osama Bin Laden, (which my administration accomplished, by the way.) But with skill and determination, we can do it. Yes, we can. After all, no challenge is too great for America."

He proves time and time the idiocy/shamelessness of his critics, as well as that he is pretty much the only "adult in the room" over there in DC. I can imagine that he's tired of the Republicans' childish, immature behavior. We are quite fortunate to have him in the WH and, great maker willing, the Republicans will remain in time out- outside the WH for the foreseeable future.

124. Obama is so good at this because he is (sitting down?) CONSERVATIVE.
Sun Apr 12, 2015, 05:18 PM
Apr 2015

Note--I did not say he is "A" conservative--not in the sense that word has been hijacked to mean on Fox Noise and National Hate Radio.

I mean "conservative" as it is defined in English--you know, that European language that is the dominant language of the USA?

"Conservative" as in taking a cautious, measured, thought-out approach to things as opposed to rashly reacting to them. It does not mean the opposite of "liberal." Far from it.
