With ‘Hillary for America’ Memo, a Campaign Sets Its Mission

snip....... “We are Hillary for America,” declares the document, first reported by Politico and later obtained by The New York Times.

“Our purpose: To give every family, every small business, and every American a path to lasting prosperity by electing Hillary Clinton the next President of the United States.”

In a sentence freighted with significance, the memo continues: “This campaign is not about Hillary Clinton and not about us — it’s about the everyday Americans who are trying to build a better life for themselves and their families.”

then I think her roll out is tone deaf- again. Announcing via tweet and social media from a jet 30,000 feet above flyover country.

Not brilliant. Not a strategy that excites.

Go big, go small, go on video. Cruz went big. Paul did the video thing and then a kickoff.

She could do the Walker/Bush/O'Malley thing and run around the country without announcing anything.

better optics? It's a purposely low-key roll-out. If she had done the opposite, you'd probably be accusing her of looking like a Queen headed to her coronation.

I don't think that will work... Something in my commonsense tells me it would be a monumental failure.. Afterall, isn't that one of their main "criticisms" of her? She sat on her laurels, she thought she was inevitable....

She can't do anything right by some... it will be what it will be.. but they should at least expect some push back and not get so angry about it.

She is a military hawk, voting for and supporting war in Iraq until it was politically inconvenient. She's in bed with Wall Street.

Hillary bends as the political winds shift; she doesn't seem to have any core principals that stand up to challenge or hardship.

Principals are the people you see when you misbehave in school.

Critiquing a political memo doesn't automatically mean "it's gotten into your head". In fact, I've already forgotten what it said.

I'm sure the campaign will contain zero specifics. She's a wall street water carrier who recently flipped on gay marriage and healthcare. Her only unshakable principles seem to be toward big business and big money. And of course I'll vote for her. Hopefully my grandchildren will understand why I had to do it.
