Bolivia Accuses Assange of Putting Evo Morales' Life at Risk

Published 13 April 2015 (3 hours 35 minutes ago)

The Bolivian Ambassador to Russia, Maria Luisa Ramos, directly defied WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange by publicly asking him whether he apologized to President Morales for putting his life at risk by leaking false information that NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden was on his plane in July 2013. “Have you apologized to Morales?” Ramos asked Assange during a video conference Monday, during the premier of the documentary “Terminal F” about Snowden's search for exile ... In the documentary, Assange reveals that the rumors that Snowden was traveling with Morales were false and that they were intentionally provided to the United States. He added that various “special measures” had been taken to distract the attention of secret services. In response to this information, Ramos questioned Assange's methods and suggested that Morales' life was put at risk without the president's consent ...

St Julian wants to remind everyone just what a brilliant international strategist he has become during his time in his embassy suite -- and what better way than to gush that he might tell all about the swarm of unsourced media rumors that Morales planned to spirit Snowden back to Bolivia?

"He admitted that the plan “was not completely honest, but we did consider that the final result would have justified our actions.” Assange also confessed the outcome of his actions were never expected, but insisted Washington was responsible for the plane's emergency landing."

It's always someone else's fault with him.. and, yet there he is confined to an Embassy in London.

7. "Defied Assange"?

Who made Assange the boss of the Bolivian ambassador so he felt he needed to "defy"him?

That said, this is the sort of thing that could blow up regarding any International escape plan. (Argo anyone?)

Snowden, however seems to be the mature and gracious sort that would apologize rther than allowing it to cause a ruffle. However, by focusing on media-hound Assange, chances are this situation will blow up into a big manufactured grievance (where Bolivia seems to be forgetting what a favor Snowden is doing them by keeping the microscope on the government's "secret wars&quot before Snowden gets a chance to respond for himself. And this incident will become one more arrow in the quiver of US anti-Snowden media manipulation. Sigh.

made to land, and not because of "equipment problems". Made to land because of a rumor.
That's a bit different from all the condescending crap about the US would never do such a thing.

er, it was scheduled to land!

Or something!

Now you guys want to blame it on Assange?

Can't have it both ways...

This gets more ridiculous by the day. Pathetic and sad in a laughable way.

sources, it seems like it was a confluence of equipment failure, Assange screwing around, and miscommunication.

What's disgusting is screwing around with aircraft. ...it's not just Evo who was used and at risk, here.
