of items and lack of extended talking heads has made me a fan. They did a wonderful piece of the efforts to restore the train that carried Lincoln's body after his assassination.

(26,259 posts)Now that I'm home, in the mornings, it's pretty shocking to see what passes for network "news" programs. I really don't want to be entertained - I really DO want to be informed.

CBS This Morning is pretty good, although I can't stand Gayle King. I don't think she's very good.

(6,399 posts)Admittedly, I'm not watching it for in-depth news. Just a bit of light coverage in the morning, a little pop news, some local stuff. I essentially watch from 8 to 8:30 while having breakfast. No need for anything heavy since I can get that throughout the day online.
The group that's come together there has definitely worked well and has a good sense of fun in general. The only segments I actively avoid now are Tori's.

(15,064 posts)is fantastic. Phil Williams is an investigarive reporter who has had many of his perdonal stories break nationally and even caused some to go to jail. He is politically smart and been in Nashville for years. I'm sure other broadcasters have tried to hire him.

It's the only TV news I watch regularly. I get the rest of my news online.
