She said wearing wristbands indicating the nature of the persons condition would be helpful to professionals as they often could not explain themselves....
Chamali explained those working in industries such as the legal profession could identify individuals based on wristband colour and this would place them a better position to help.
Wristbands? I guess the yellow Star of David and pink triangle were already taken.

(1,352 posts)In the interest of full disclosure -- my wristband would be a fucking *rainbow* of color-coding, lol.
Oooooo, and the wristband makers could make a ton of money every time a new DSM version came out and changed the names of all the diagnoses. Better yet, maybe the APA (which published the DSM) could also be who makes and markets the wristbands!
Which would have to be un-removable, right, since if we can't even explain ourselves then surely we cannot be trusted to keep the wristband on? So not so much wristbands, as, say, manacles.
The stupid, it burns... and the ignorant prejudice fuckin' hurts.

I think that sociopaths should have to wear a puce armband.
I think warmongers should have to wear a red armband.
I think congenital liars should have to wear a fuchsia armband.
I think that would be a good start.
