TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Police released dash cam video showing how a police officer used his cruiser to put an end to a crime spree in February that stretched from Tucson to Marana.

In the video, an apparent gunshot is heard as the suspect, Mario Valencia, is seen walking down a street.

Then, in a decision that Marana police Chief Terry Rozema says probably saved Valencia's life, officer Michael Rapiejko drives his cruiser onto the sidewalk and rams Valencia.

Now what in the hell was this cop thinking? Oh yeah, they said he did it to save this man's life because he was attempting suicide. This happened a couple of months ago and is just now being released...the guy was in the hospital for a couple of days and then released. Very surprised he wasn't in ICU or died from his injuries. He's VERY lucky.

The cops there are ......special.
Had one of their finest pull me over in a just-purchased used truck that had expired tags. My disabled (Now late.) wife was with me, her wheelchair in the truck bed. I was sixty at the time, and walk, after a fashion, with a cane. We were obviously hardened, highly dangerous, criminal types.Said cop expressed a strong desire at the top of his voice, to tase me, shoot me and beat the living crap out of me. In that order. The $900+ ticket he wrote got voided when I contacted the mayor and suggested that she review the dashcam footage and ponder how expensive a lawsuit would be.
Since then, I have nothing but contempt for Marana and its vicious, uniformed thugs.
