I couldn't help feeling sad when I found out how old this guy was.

I go on a local blog from time to time and discuss current events and politics. Politically, the membership is mostly to the right, but there are a few liberals. The most noticeable members, however, are the ditto-heads and cool aid drinkers. They tend to keep things interesting. You know the type of folks I'm talking about. They hate Obama and the government, but don't know why. They sleep with their guns and spout all the right- wing talking points.

Anyway, there's this one particular guy on this site who is the biggest ditto head of them all. He is truly the worst of the worst. He gets really nasty, often racist, and with him everything is "the liberals' fault". I couldn't stand the guy. That is until I found out his age. Now, I just feel a deep sadness for him.

The guy is 80 years old, can't spell, can't put together a proper sentence, knows little history, and makes a fool of himself spouting opinions on things he knows nothing about. I had always thought he was just some dumbass in his early 20s until he revealed his age in a post. How does a person get to such an age and never learn anything in life? As a person raised to respect my elders, the realization of this man's condition made me very sad.

crotchety old men.

Seems like a lot of work to keep up that kind of vitriol. And a waste of one's life.

If that guy was a jock when he was in high school, he could have avoided any "hard" classes...and then if he went into the military back then, a pulse was about all that was needed..

The sad fact is that some high schools just push people along the conveyor, and many escape without learning very much.. what they do learn has to last them a lifetime..

and of course that's why right wing radio.tv exists... to "educate" the most gullible among us
