Washington insider, former Senate staffer, Ari-Rabin Havt on Sirius re BERNIE and running

Ari knows the inside DC game and who is who, he is a Senior Fellow of Media Matters, etc.

He says Bernie has not reached out yet, to ANY of the main people he would have to in order to run an actual, serious, competitive campaign against Hillary or anyone.

He believes this means that Bernie is using the presidential election and his notoriety to gain notice to the issues that matter to him, which is good and something we all want.

But he believes he is not running or wont make a serious run...Ari's opinion is worth 20 of mine and 100 of any random people talking about politics, he is that plugged in.

He also believes a republican president in 2017 and the appointments made to the SC would end America as we know it, and that they would eliminate ALL progress made the past 100 years, ALL. He says it is unthinkable that it would happen, but it could and it would be horrific. He knows what he is talking about.

I agree with him...

So what we want from him is NOISE loud enough for the uninformed to hear.

Like do they know about the cap on soc sec?

If they knew would they not want to do what Bernie wants?

I think many would, we know Hillary is not likely to talk about the cap, would love it if she did.

So he has to do it and she can then go along and blame it on the people, so to speak, if it becomes popular.

No con is ever going to do that, she might.

Beyond that Bernie will talk about the stupidity of our tax system and capitalism the way it now exists...

I just like hearing him talk because without him I might think there was no hope, at all.

I don't believe that there is no chance he would win, except for the idea that we have to bend to the will of the right. It is exactly what got us where we are.

Yes, he needs to make all kinds of noise.

Unfortunately, you're right that Hillary won't talk about the SS cap. Or about regulating the banks. Or the TPP, etc. There's a real good reason for that.

It's truly a sad state of affairs we are currently in

a. reverse Citizens United

b. reverse Reagan tax cuts, go back to pre Reagan

c. pummel guilty wall street and banksters for destroying the economy

d. shame racists and bigots so badly that they will go back in their holes

until we do all that, we are sort of just rearranging the you know what.

BUT, having said that, the difference between Hillary in the WH and any con (remember, they all have to do the same destructive things to get reelected) is massive. With Hillary we still suffer economically to some degree, she improves here and there but maybe doesnt do the really big stuff (maybe she will too), but we survive to fight another day.

Cons end all that, the SC they appoint, the harm to everyone would be insane.

But I will not talk about HC being any better unless and until that is my only choice. The fact that happens, we cheapen the process.

I agree with all the other stuff. I would add in the pre-Ronny era, restore the unions
