I Voted For Obama Believing He Would Not Support TPP. It Is A National Disaster.

I worked at DOL when NAFTA passed and knew it would screw the US. TPP is so much worse because that means all workers will be paid less than slave labor. Workers here cannot compete with countries where pay is less then 1.00 an hour. In some countries like Bangladesh pay is only $1.00 a DAY.

I guarantee that we will have more than wage stagnation. We will have wage DEFLATION for most workers with TPP. And we will lose 50% of our jobs to outsourcing. No kind of job will be safe. Even if you have college degrees your job will not stay if it can be sent overseas. There will be nothing left to protect. TPP is the collapse of our employment structure.

giving billions to CEO's, would support labor, would close Guantanamo, would end wars, and would rein in wall street.

The corporate purchase and corruption of our nation must end.

Secret laws, secret courts, mass surveillance, propaganda machines, criminalization of investigative journalism, militarized police, indefinite detention, "Kill Lists," expansion of private prisons, "trade" agreements that override democratic laws and regulations, dismantling of our Constitution, persecution of whistleblowers, endless wars for profit, and predatory looting of millions for the profit of a few.

We are ruled by liars and criminals now.

If anything it is likely we are trying to moderate that.

And NAFTA obviously didn't result in $1 per day jobs here.

The rest of the world is not as rich - they are the ones who can afford to work cheaper. That's already the case and the reason those jobs went to China/India.

Always educational to hear from the DU experts on anything..especially when what is being commented on hasn't even reached a final draft.
