Dash-cam cop previously involved in NYPD lawsuit
TUCSON - A dash-cam video that broadcasted a Marana Police Officer ramming
his police cruiser into an armed suspect sparked controversy around the nation.
34-year-old Michael Rapiejko, the officer behind the wheel, is currently under
investigation by Marana Police Department's Internal Affairs.
He's been with MPD for about a year-and-a-half. Before he joined MPD, he
worked for the Tucson Police Department and the New York Police Department.
During his time with NYPD, Rapiejko was the subject of a lawsuit.
