Adding earmarks to bills he knew was going to pass and then voted against them and declare he never voted for any spending. The Pauls are pigs.

any other means of getting food for people. Nor do the other churches in the area where I live. There is a food bank in a nearby city, but it's not run by any church!

You can't severely mistreat us when we were kids, and then pretend all is forgiven. Forgiveness (and deception) is your schtick, responsibility and integrity is mine.

It's good to know where Rand Paul stands on the separation of church and state.

What if your fellow parishioners are also broke?

Remember when that asshole Dubya tried throwing social services onto churches?

He said go to YOUR church IOW, NOT HIS CHURCH!

He doesn't want government or HIS church to feed you. He doesn't want his tax money Or his tithing to feed you.

What's lost by modern politicians is the concept of comm-UNITY. The notion that society can and should COME TOGETHER to help each other. CommUNITY is about mutual support. It's foreign to the concepts of competition and predation that define modern capitalism.

It's Calvinism on steroids, a misreading of James 2:14. We have a duty to labor no matter how old or ill we are.

It would be different if God had blessed us with signs of wealth and health, signs that are evidence that we are chosen. But the poor, hungry, sick and old are clearly NOT blessed.

Thank-you Max Weber for such a protestant work ethic, thank-you northern Europeans who made accepting a helping hand shameful. Thank God that he has provided Republicans and Libertarians and the class warriors with a justification for non-interference with god's plans for the needy.
