plus the "I just will not vote" attitude, they seem to want the Republicans in office.

has it caused me to do serious harm to myself or others. Why, that's just madness! I reefer you to Charles Mackay's classic work, Historical Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds, a history of popular folly, where despite close examination you shall find no reference whatsoever to stoners causing troubles for anyone, least of all themselves. I believe you have them confused with libertarians, a subset of humanity which itself seems permanently confused.

You welcomed me to DU1, way back when 92-percent of the place was gung-ho behind George W Bush to blow up all the Arabs he could target post-September 11.

In all the years since, you've been kind to me. You've also even exposed yourself to witness the machinations of the Bush Crime Family and their warmongers in business and traitors in government.

When you say something's not working as it should on DU, I listen. Normally, I'd say: "Let Democracy take its course. The truth will emerge." Unfortunately, with the NSA spying on just about everyone, it's become more difficult of late.

Still, you make a valid, albeit cryptic point: The hell with Repulcans and their snotty supporters. And to Agent Mike: "Wake up. Unless you got millions in Switzerland, the BFEE won't be inviting you and your family onto the escape yacht."

Or CU? Like in CUL8R, my favorite pinewood derby license plate. conservative Undergrounders?

It is cryptic. Whatever it means, I know for certain that Old and In the Way wants us to pick apart the real enemy: The Republicans who are stealing democracy blind.

Yeah, my admiration for you and many others who enlightened me on DU as to the true source of this country's mjor fuckups since the early 60s all lead to the same place. I Get that. But our problems today are post-Bush. Our problems are way too many stupid people who will vote against their best social and economic interests. I have no answers and I don't believe every Democrat is righteous, but I also get the 2 Party political construct that we live under. When THE Republican Party splits between the monied and sane interests and the really crazy Cruz people, I look forward to spltting the Democratic Party between the safe position and true Progessive position. But until the Republicans implode first, we cannot fracture. I think JFK would agree with me.

The mainstream candidates in both parties, especially the Republican Party (AKA the big business party) already cater to interests & careful not to piss off someone that is deeply connected. They already slash this or that because they can get away with it because not just the money, the further down you go on the income bracket the lower the turnout rate drops which a variety of reasons can explain. The goal with that is to make voting easier, the GOP isn't out there guilt tripping non-voters but trying to make it difficult for as many voters as possible not to vote. Oregon, I'm pretty sure has very high turnout with their all mail-out ballot system.

At-some-point we need to stop blaming the voters & focus on policies that are either right for us or wrong for us but not only us but the World. If we stop mentioning the bad stuff they do then who is going to look out for us.

Personally, I'm on the Bernie Sanders bandwagon because I think his ideas for the most part are the right thing & this man is out there advocating for those affected by free trade agreements, union busting, lassez-faire policies but he is also a man that doesn't seem to go down the road of anti-whoever campaigns. He is very supportive Obama & other prominent Democrats & mentions a respect mainly makes it about the money infected both parties while Hillary Clinton is conducting tests to determine how much she should distance herself from Obama.

I'm not sure what your post is about but personally, politics should be something possible to discuss honestly but instead there is blind loyalty & fear of Republicans who BTW don't appear to be trying to out-liberal each other. If we continue with this prisoner dilemma than I don't see how we can expect meaningful change to the status quo.
