Huckabee Disqualifies Himself, Should End Presidential Ambitions
Trying to hurt our military, for political reasons, is a non-starter for a potential Commander-in-Chief

Mike Huckabee, the former Arkansas governor, who is widely expected to announce his campaign for President, told a radio talk show audience that they shouldn’t enlist in the military until President Obama is out of office (and presumably be replaced by him).

“I might suggest to parents, I’d wait a couple of years until we get a new commander-in-chief that will once again believe ‘one nation under god’ and believe that people of faith should be a vital part of the process of not only governing this country, but defending this country,” Huckabee told Iowa radio host, Jan Mickelson.

Let that sink in.

A man who wants to swear to uphold and protect the Constitution, and this country, a man who wants to be Commander-in- Chief, is telling people to not serve their country because we do not have a conservative President.

That’s disqualifying.

It might be different if Mike Huckabee said this back in college, and has changed, since then. But he said it just this week.

It isn’t enough for Mike Huckabee to apologize. He needs to end his Presidential ambitions. He needs to let others seek the Presidency, who believe part of their job, in and out of office, is to encourage our best and brightest to join our Armed Forces, so they can continue to be the best in the world. That’s how he can best serve this country, himself.

A couple of people he had paroled or commuted the sentence for while he was governor went on to murder multiple people.
