It will withstand scrutiny. If it's not, then the very last thing its promoters want is for the treaty to be scrutinized for very long.

America decided to move right in that election. That was the message voters sent the US government.

Surely that election result made TPP more likely to pass. Congress moved right and voters blessed Bernie with a new GOP-controlled Senate.

Elections have consequences.
