Right-Wing Group Judicial Watch Says It Prevented A Terrorist Attack
Submitted by Brian Tashman on Monday, 4/20/2015 3:15 pm
Judicial Watch, the right-wing legal group founded by conspiracy theorist Larry Klayman, has been pushing to conservative media its new claim that the terrorist group ISIS has set up camp just south of the U.S. border with Mexico.
This weekend, the Family Research Councils Tony Perkins spoke with Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, about the allegations, and Perkins announced that authorities have confirmed the groups report about an ISIS base a few miles south of El Paso, Texas.
Actually, authorities have done exactly the opposite: The U.S. Department of State, the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Northern Command, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the El Paso County Sheriffs Office and the Mexican government have all denied Judicial Watchs report. Reporters who have visited the location of the supposed ISIS base have also found no evidence at all of it existing.
