A person was seriously injured late Sunday when gasoline that was being used against bed bugs ignited and exploded inside an Omaha home.

Omaha firefighters said two other occupants of the home escaped injury after the blast at 3928 M St. about 9 p.m.

After putting out the fire in the basement, crews learned that the injured person was attempting to kill bed bugs using gasoline.

FULL short story at link.

This is in a low income area. I know a professional is expensive. There are several inexpensive ways that are non-toxic that can be used.

No pun intended. 115F for 10 minutes kills all life stages (but you have to get the temp up everywhere, including inside the crevices and such where eggs are laid).

It's flammable, but as it also used to be used in lamps, not explosive that I know of.

Those poor people.

Alcohol to rid his rental car of bed bugs and then smoked a cigarette in that same car. Same result. BOOM!
