Who takes Mitt Romney seriously?

Really, who looks at Mitt Romney's record:

on jobs as a Governor (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002609835)

as a job destroyer (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002651392)

of utterly absurd comments (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002643728)

...and takes him seriously on the economy (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1014115067)?

It doesn't seem to matter what Republicans do, how much the screw up (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002648747), some Americans continue to fall for their BS.

The next big test will be the recall of Romney's favorite Governor, Scott Walker.

Latest National poll Obama 48% Romney 45%.

Of course those numbers are meaningless now

Do you really think Romney went from 20%-25% to 45+% . . . . at the same time the Ron Paul bots are plotting rebellion?
This year nothing from the so called "institutional" information sources can be believed.

the one percent. Frankly, I think there are a lot of people who are doing extremely well in this country who don't give a shit about people who are struggling. They love the tax cuts.

given that so many people are gullible, that's understandable.

Still, there is a difference between taking his message seriously and not being complacent about his chances.

Have you tried to have a serious conversation about politics with an average person lately?

I certainly didn't start off with that intention, I was just stunned by the ignorance on display so much that I blurted out what I was thinking.

Frankly I think you can beat these people over the cranium with a clue by four until the stupid leaks out their ears and it won't make any difference in the long run.

I had a rare long talk with a family member just this morning as I drove him to the airport, he reads a lot online but is a lurker, never posts and he tends to stick to the financial blogs. I pointed out that I used to be a lurker at one time and when I started posting and arguing my views changed because I was making arguments I couldn't support and I got tired of losing.

I left him with a puzzled expression also..
