Police in Colorado have cited a 37-year-old man for carrying his computer into an alley then shooting it eight times with a handgun after what authorities said had been a long battle with the uncooperative machine.

Lucas Hinch was cited for discharging a firearm within city limits after officers responded to a “shots fired” call early on Monday evening, the Colorado Springs police department said.

“Investigation revealed a resident was fed up with fighting his computer for the last several months,” a police statement entitled “Man Kills His Computer” said.

“He took the computer into the back alley and fired eight shots into the computer with a handgun, effectively disabling it.”

Too stupid to fix a computer. Too stupid to have someone fix his computer for him. Yet smart enough to be allowed to own a gun.

Stories like this make me miss america one hell of a lot less.

I got my first experience with MS Windows 8 at an office where I do volunteer work. I use my personal MacBook but all the machines there are PCs running 8. A co-worker called me over as he was frustrated that he couldn't do a shut down. It was like the button for shutting down had disappeared. It just keep putting the infamous page with all the apps. Finally I did the PC thing, pressing the power button for 4+ seconds. The PC shut down, we restarted and were able to do a regular shut down.

Bill Gates and 3 MS software engineers were driving to the airport when the car stalled. The driver couldn't get the car to start. Mr. Gates had the solution; "Let's close all the windows and get out of the car, then it will start."

The WORST O/S ever!
Windows only pays my bills. At home I use a Mac, and a couple of Linux PCs. They are much more reliable than any Windows machine.
