Dude, our rescue Beagle Basset is a TV star!

You'll see him at the 18 second mark in this video. He participates each year in this event, and we usually raise at least $500 for our participation from our friends and family. The event is put on by the Animal Humane Society of MN, which is where we adopted him after weeks in their shelter. Good Dog, Dude! You're Famous on DU Now, Too!

5. A few people bring kitties to the walk, but

they usually carry them. It's a two-mile walk, and most kitties don't like leashes much, or a few hundred dogs walking around, either. Typically there are at least 1000 dogs at this walk. Lots of sniffing of parts going on, to be sure.

7. Yes. They have had it there each year. It's right

near their Golden Valley facility. Very convenient. We'll be there this year, with Sam, too, our Beagle Freedom Project lab rescue beagle. He went last year, but was still pretty nervous. This year, he'll be a champ!
