http://www.liberalamerica.org/2015/04/21/unbelievable-jail-sentence-white-girls-hunted-black-people-mississippi/James Craig Anderson, a 49-year-old auto plant worker, was standing in a parking lot, near his car. The teens allegedly beat Anderson repeatedly, yelled racial epithets, including White Power! according to witnesses....
Six white male gang members were sentenced to jail terms ranging between four and 50 years. John L. Blalack and Robert H. Rice were the last two gang members to plead guilty.
As for Graves and Richards their sentences are unbelievable and almost as shocking as the crime. Graves was sentenced to five years and Richards received 8 years for their roles in the murder. Heres a video from the The Young Turks. Please advised there is footage of the murder and it very disturbing.

(24,524 posts)also disgusting. I wonder if anything was said at the sentencing that would indicate why they got off so lightly? Also at least one of the males received an even lower term... 4 years. Says a lot about the value placed on black lives.
Prayers for Mr. Anderson's family and friends.

(12,310 posts)they would all have gotten the same fucking sentence. And why weren't they charged with murder, aggravated assault, etc. Oh, pardon me, I forgot, the max you can get for murder is 5 years.

(774 posts)They all got different sentences because each defendant was hit with different charges.

(12,310 posts)Why is this not news?! Wtf!? There was a similar case a while back. When I first saw this I thought it was the same case. Oh wait, 2011, I think this is that case. So now the trial is over and that's all they got for doing that.
