9pm eastern, with Diane Sawyer on abc
I'm looking forward to hearing his story - male Olympian transitions to female in his 60s. As the saying goes, you can't make this stuff up. Best to BJenner in her new life!

(21,691 posts)He was a vapid ass when I knew him; don't care now.
I liked him when he was a guest on Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels...

(6,409 posts)Seems like kind of a private issue, even if Jenner feels the need to speak about it publicly.

(1,307 posts)but why should be keep it private? Why shouldn't he lend his voice to this issue if he chooses too?

(4,178 posts)But I think it is more show than reality. He is a Kardashian.

(102,230 posts)That said, I just can't get past the discomfort of the whole media circus that follows the Kardashians-- and Bruce by extension. I just don't want to take part in that--even if Bruce made the conscious decision to-- so publicily-- tell the world his story and coming transition.
what I think.

(50,267 posts)I find it astonishing the media opts to give so much coverage to private lives and private choices when the public at large is suffering on so many levels. I would be happier if Diane Sawyer spent air time on cops killing unarmed civilians.

So, no. I will not be watching this tripe.

(103,856 posts)I think Bruce has EVERY right to talk about anything, to anyone, BUT common sense (and a few lawyers) should have stepped in & warned that "less is more" at this particular time. It;s creepily reminiscent of the "deputy" going on a Bahamas vacation after he shot a guy to death..Bad taste

(100,064 posts)And most of the crash results were inconclusive that Jenner was at fault. So I don't know what your point is here.

(56,177 posts)with that worthless group of slugs known as the Khardashians, I probably would have watched...lots of things are indicative of an immature society...the Khardsahians are up at the top of the list.

(5,018 posts)Some will DEMEAN the topic by insisting on focusing only on his recent auto accident where a person died.
Too bad that happened, too bad for the victim and this issue. I am in no way diminishing her life, the person who died.
The more mature of us can accept both realities at the same time and give the attention needed to this show and this topic.
I remember as a teen seeing a movie in my local theatre about Christine Jorgensen., I remember being freaked out about it.
But at least I learned about it as a child and I think that helped form me into who I am today, in part.
When I say freaked out, I was a teenager, it was the 60's. I assume my reaction was typical.
