General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI believe it's time we come together as a party
and close ranks around our soon to be nominee, Hillary. It is a fact that Warren is not running. Sanders will not either. The sooner we close ranks around Hillary, the stronger we will be in November next year. Now is the time for all of us to come together and support Hillary.

(68,918 posts)If she is the eventual nominee, and I hope she is not. No money, no campaigning, no support. I will vote strictly to keep a crazy Republican out of office, but no... no closing ranks around someone who doesn't represent me. Sorry boo.
Lincoln runs, and I'm active as hell at the national level again for the first time in 11 years.

(12,081 posts)chosen. If Hillary is the nominee, that will not include me. I will write Bernie Sanders name in no matter what. If it must be a protest vote, then I will cast a protest vote. I will not vote for Hillary.

(53,031 posts)The democratic process of the Democratic party enables people to make whatever choices they want, and it is ridiculous to assume we should all rally around a presumptive front runner before a single vote is cast.
It's also clear to me that there will never be any coming together, regardless of who the nominee is. I have learned that the enemy is not the GOP, Wall Street, or the 1 percent, but people like me who fail to hate and rage against Democrats in accordance with the DU orthodoxy. It is also clear I and others like me are the enemy for suggesting that my rights and interests might be of concern at all, when the ONLY thing that matters is the anger of a select few who are certain they and only they are entitled to speak for me and the rest of America. By daring to presume I speak for myself, I have made myself the enemy.
They don't want unity or solidarity and it has nothing to do with candidates or the election. It is because they are certain they are superior, and if they merely suspect any of us of heresy in diverging from the approved script, we become the enemy. While I might agree with them on a number of policies and concerns, they will never build solidarity with me or others because they have no interest in anything other than their own self-proclaimed superiority and excluding the rest of America from their notion of acceptable politics.

(19,326 posts)NOW we have a continuous Bush/Clinton Dynasty to
watch over us, and avoid all that outdated foolishness.
I don't know how Obama got in there in the first place,
but now we can fix all that, and get the nation back
on the right track.

I support MOM. There is no reason for me or anyone else to support her this early in the process

(13,218 posts)There's no hurry. Absolutely nothing is gained by an early decision. I say all this even though I am a Hillary fan. It's just that I want to inspect all of our choices and see what the candidates have to offer.
