Maybe Baltimore is the spark we need.

While the weather is nice it's time to start a march on Washington the likes this country has never seen. It's time to get fighting mad. Voting every two to four years will not help. Tens of thousand, hundreds of thousands in the streets pushing back if need be. I'm willing to take a beating if I have mass amounts of fellow citizens behind me. It is time to put the fear of God in the PTB and the time is ripe. It's time to march and push back. Fuck the rich. Fuck the corporations. Maybe violence is what is needed because our elected officials do not listen to us or work for us. Revolution, revolution, revolution. Violence worked for the people of France, their revolution was not peaceful.

Part opportunity, part frustration.

But I can't condone it and it doesn't herald "good times."

Violence gets you and your friends killed. I have seen it and participated in it, up close and personal, several times. It is a ugly and it lessens your human dignity. It's not a movie.

welcome to DU.
Second I agree it is not a movie. A tough stance is closeup and personal, it is ugly. When the French had their revolution it did not lessen their dignity. When our fore fathers stood up to the king of England it did not lessen their dignity. When force is the only thing the PTB can dish out when we stand up for ourselves and speak out against the fucking they are handing us maybe force is what we use to push back. I am prepared to take a hit and I'm sure there are more like me out there. Sometimes school yard bullies need their asses kicked to stop their bullying. The PTB are nothing more than a bunch of rich fucking bullies and it time to start kicking ass and take names later. I do respect your thoughts on the subject. Have a nice day.
