How the FREAK does Tom Cotton seem get all this attention an power?

This guy is in the Senate for 4 months and yet he seems to have this power of someone who has been in the Senate for years.

Seriously, I don't understand how this guy is gaining so much sway.

The article shows a tweet stating that Rep Jim Jordan is seeking Tom Cotton's insight on Coker's Iran Bill.


Is anyone else getting a little nervous about this guy? Or am I getting a little paranoid?

1. Senator Giraffe-neck is taking a page from Cubanadian Cruz.

Whereas most freshmen senators keep quiet for their first few years in the chamber, this asshat is trying to make himself a household name right from the starting gate.

He IS a very scary dude and it's appalling to think someone like this could become a senator.

Thought I read he "came out of nowhere" riding a wave of billionaire oligarch cash?

Hard to find someone as malevolent and stupid as Cotton, who can still walk around and feed himself, so he's the perfect bot for those guys.

This guy truly has a willfully insane grasp of the world. Spent his time at Harvard explaining how the Oathkeepers had the real handle on how to handle sexism, just as example.

But these ARE the people who rule the world. Just sentient enough to put together a rationalization for why they're entitled to screw everyone else over. From Class President to Frat President to Mr. President, this is generally who we put in charge of things like nuclear weapons and who gets the tax money.

Tom Cotton has every reason to expect great success in American politics.
