You know how roosters love to tell you the sun is coming up as loud as they can!
Marta called it a night and went to bed.
She has the window open for the breeze. There is this turkey up in a tree not far from her window. Won't stop doing the gobble gobble gobble. 
I know her mind is running through possible predators to fix the situation.
First summer here an owl got a rabbit in the middle of the night. I was so mad about the heart stopping scream.
The sound of the trains never wakes me. I grew up next to the old CNW tracks in the Florence area of Omaha.
