General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI am absolutely OK that Bernie is running in the Democratic primary.
I think he will be great and fun to watch.
If he loses my hope is that he supports the candidate he loses to and does not get an itch to run Independant.
That's all.

(114,904 posts)he says he won't play the role of spoiler, you know he won't.
and yeah, he'll endorse the winner of the primary- just as he's done for decades.

Sen Sanders will do what is best for the 99%. He is the Populist candidate.

cling desperately to the
absurd notion that party
registration is somehow
more important than actual
policy and values.
The Blue Dogs were a disaster
for the party... but hey (D)

(69,982 posts)i got to see him speak a few months ago. he made it clear that no one in their right mind actually wants to be president today. he is clear that his intent is to prevent a coronation, and to make sure there is a free and open debate.

(26,355 posts)He's running as a Democrat, specifically because he does not want to be a spoiler. IIRC, he specifically said that at one point.
We absolutely need a real race in the Democratic primaries, not a coronation. Whoever is going to be our standard bearer in the Presidential race needs to show us how he or she is going to win, and how he or she is going to uphold our values.

their own traitors.]
