ID Please?!

When did the United States become the USSR? It seems now at days a cop can go up to a person and demand they ID themselves just for being themselves.

These are just three examples but seriously it seems now at days not showing your ID to cops is a reason to get arrested. I know a few people are going to say "If you are doing nothing wrong why shouldn't you show your ID to cops".

My problem is that I remember before the patriot act these type of stories didn't happen. Also how many people take ID if they are doing their daily jogging/walk? How many women--Maybe my wife is strange... If my wife and I are going to the store together she will leave her purse at home because I have my wallet and the MAC card. So how many women do that?
