It would be really interesting for someone to get hold of the police reports

and compare them to what the SAG found, and then go after the cop Establishment for the coverup they were almost certainly attempting.

Surely if the cops were doing their jobs, and being much more familiar with the circumstances of Freddie's death, they would have been able to ferret out the truth much quicker than the AG's investigators, right?

I mean, like most of it played out in their paddy wagon and then in their jail, right? They already have extensive records on the alleged perpetrators, right? Including knowing if any of them had guns taken away due to mental issues, right?

If ANYBODY was in a position to do a quick, comprehensive and thorough investigation, it would be the cops, right?

Their investigation report would have details that the AG's people didn't even know to look for, right?

Any gross failures on the part of the police investigation would constitute being an accessory after the fact.

RIGHT?

a switch blade.

That was a lie.

He had a pocket knife that was folded into the blade.

Cops lie.

Cops lie for each other.

Cops lie to protect one another.

Cops lie under oath.

Cops lie on their paper work.

Cops lie to win cases against suspects.

Cops threaten and torture suspects.

Cops plant 'evidence' on suspects, at suspects homes, in suspects cars, in suspects businesses, etc.

Freddie Gray was arrested illegally.

Cops lie.

They are responsible for the death of Freddie Gray.

I hope they get the maximum penalty !!!!!!!!

I remember incidents in Vietnam where troops were busted for killing civilians. There was a court-martial case of that sort going on in the !st Cav Div. when I got there in 1967. The fall guys were a buck sergeant & 3 lower-ranking fall-guys who did the actual killing of the prisoner. The officers who gave the orders covered for each other & got off on a bogus story about an incomplete radio transmission.

Corrupt cops would be a relatively minor problem if they weren't given protection by corrupt police administrations, which are a HUGE problem.
