Wayne Co. (MI) prosecutor resigns after Facebook post re: Baltimore

"A Facebook post from a Wayne County assistant prosecutor on the Baltimore riots have some upset.

Assistant prosecutor Teana Walsh wrote Monday that one solutionwould be to shoot rioters.

In a post that she later deleted, she wrote at 10:33 p.m. Monday:"


"So I am watching the news in Baltimore and see large swarms of people throwing bricks, etc at police who are fleeing from their assaults ... 15 in the hospital already. Solution. Simple. Shoot em. Period. End of discussion. I don't care what causes the protestors to turn violent...what the "they did it because" reason is...no way is this acceptable. Flipping disgusting."

It is such a comfort to learn someone in that position thinks anyone caught in an
act of civil disobedience should be shot where they stand. She must have been
out sick a lot during law school. I'm glad she is now a former assistant prosecutor.
