(51,308 posts)but I'm starting to look more into Sanders.
I like his stance on pretty much everything.
At my age, the social security issue is a big one for me.

(4,805 posts)All this talk on here about social vs. class issues has me somewhat confused. Thanks!

(14,881 posts)It's a class issue in that, unlike the upper classes, many of us have been unable to save enough for retirement and depend (or will depend) mostly or exclusively on social security.
Hiraeth
(4,805 posts)It may have been a race vs. class issue that I was reading on here. Thanks!

(3,795 posts)Fighting for social issues without tackling economic issues simultaneously will enable TPTB to continue to erode our financial security.
It has to be both, and we should demand STRONG representation for both.

When he refused to say anything bad about Hillary I cheered and then he went right back to talking about the issues. And he has a nice way of showing the differences between the two.

(41,127 posts)steers the conversation back to the issues. Skillful with tact and class. I've heard he doesn't believe in 'negative campaigning' either which studies show only discourages and suppresses voting, which usually leads to high GOP regulars turning out and winning. (I'm looking at you Karl Rove! ugh-).
~ The Vermont 'BERNIE Bear'. Adorable! Makes me think of the great Trust Buster, TR.

(39,215 posts)now how Hillary responds. They have yet to start on Bernie.

(41,127 posts)itself, and the people each other. It's nowhere near this bad in normal countries, (EU, Canada). For one thing they don't have as long a campaign period, zillions of $$$ to spend or a total corporate Media- I think.
