It is a slow election day in a suburban precinct. Just a school levy on the ballot so very light turnout so far.
Poll workers are mostly retired. We avoid talking politics for the most part both because we're supposed to and because we know we'll disagree and have to work together for a 14-hour day.
Out of the blue one republican worker said that she could never vote for Hillary because of Benghazi and "letting that ambassador get tortured and killed". When I said I disagreed and we shouldn't be talking about that she seemed to realize she had stepped over the line.
Another one stated that "Obama's people" bussed in voters in Cincinnati in 2008 and 2012 and paid them to vote - like it was an established fact. Again when called on it she did stop.
These are both really nice women who are a pleasure to work with and talk to in every other way. Just amazing to get a brief glimpse of the world they live in.
