What Does - "This Discussion Thread Is Pinned" Mean?.....

Today was the first time I've seen this used. What does it mean?

They are often used to display group rules or provide other information of continuing interest or use.

6. I don't know why, but that line for some reason brings back the memory

of the famous UW Fence, which consisted of a wall of plywood around the site where they were building a new campus building. The entire fence was a graffiti magnet, and somebody even took a series of pictures of it & made it into a book for sale.

Anyway, the two graffiti that stick out in my mind were
