Hillary Rodham Clinton appears to have initially weathered a barrage of news about her use of a private email account when she was secretary of state and the practices of her familys foundation, an indication that she is starting her second presidential bid with an unusual durability among Democratic voters.
Americans now view Mrs. Clinton more favorably and as a stronger leader than they did earlier in the year, despite weeks of scrutiny about her ethics, a New York Times/CBS News poll has found. And nearly nine in 10 Democrats say the nation is ready to elect a woman president.
<snip>
her favorability rating has improved by nine percentage points since the disclosure in late March that she did not use a government email account as secretary of state.
<snip>
And the number of Americans who think Mrs. Clinton has strong qualities of leadership has risen by eight percentage points, to 65 percent from 57 percent, in that same period.

She has a 25% Trustworthy rating!
The recent Hart/NBC poll
shows her favorable/unfavorable
at 42/42 down 8 points.
Bottom line; die hard supporters
won't change their opinion no
matter what happens.
Everyone else questions
her trustworthiness.
Hillary Clinton: Her image has taken a hit, according to the latest national NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.
Clintons unfavorable rating has ticked up six points since March, and the percentage giving her high marks for being honest and straightforward has declined 13 points from a year ago.
Her worst scores: bringing real change to the direction of the country (35%), sharing your positions on the issues (35%) and being honest and straightforward (25%).
Indeed, that honest and straightforward score is a 13-point drop for Clinton since June 2014.

Comrade Grumpy
(13,184 posts)4. She is indisputably popular.
And scandals?
Emailgate was weak.
Clinton Foundation. Meh, no smoking gun, just standard 1%er stuff.
I think she's sort of politically immunized by previous bullshit scandal attempts--Whitewater, Vince Foster, Benghazi--the Republicans have thrown at her. People expect them to accuse her of bad shit.
That said, Go Bernie!
