Very little risk and a lot of reward. I just don't understand why so many of her supporters have their pants on fire.

This trips people up all the time.

You ask a question and one of 2 things happens:

1. People you're not talking to respond and say "I'm not like that."
- Great, I'm happy for you, then why did you reply if it doesn't apply to you?

2. People just want to torpedo a thread about something they don't like or posted by someone they don't like.

Welcome to DU. You just learned something.

thanks, I guess.

I wasn't trying to torpedo your thread, I was just curious.

I'm not sure you can post a topic towards only a portion of DU. There are many of us that read the posts and we respond.

Someone erects a strawman, and then gets pissed when it's knocked down - usually within seconds.

Said someone then tries to intellectualize his failed OP by claiming it is (a) being responded to by the "wrong" people and/or (b) is being "torpedoed" by people who don't like him, or his strawman - or both.

Some people think they see shit that ain't there, but argue that it's there because it really helps them make their lame "point" if it was actually there.

No one is trying to "torpedo" your dumbass thread.

No one is calling a "pow wow" in order to conspire against you.

No one is wetting their diapers.

Your need to believe all of the above is probably what's causing that rash - which no one seems to have other than you.
