Daycare worker fired after posting about hating children on Facebook

THE COLONY, Texas — A daycare worker from Texas was fired before she even started her first day of work — all because of what she wrote on Facebook.

Single mom Kaitlyn Walls said she was happy that she finally found steady work to help pay the bills, but she seemed less excited that the job was at a daycare center.

"I start my new job today,” the 27-year-old mom posted on Facebook. “But I absolutely hate working at day care.” She also wrote “I just really hate being around a lot of kids.”

Her post sparked immediate criticism on social media.

“I had all these girls attacking me because I don’t want to be around a lot of kids all the time,” Walls said. “I actually cried. It really hurt me because I wasn’t trying to offend anybody ever.”

Social media is "social" in that what you say is almost as if it is said publicly, this escapes most people.

If you demonstrate that you don't like kids, then you shouldn't be paid to spend your days with them.

Social media just makes idiots out of some people.

It merely provides a platform for some people to share their inherent idiocy with everyone.

...on a table in a crowded bar, shouting the most intimate details of your life to total strangers, and then being shocked when the news gets back to your mom, your boss, and your clergyman.

Aside from that, maybe this fool should apply for Miss Hannigan's job at Little Orphan Annie's orphanage.
