LA VISTA POLICE DEPARTMENT

The little boy who was found alive in a trash container in La Vista, near 84th and Harrison Streets. Police do not know his name or the names of his parents.

A boy who appears to be a bit more than a year old was found Wednesday in a trash container outside a La Vista apartment building, police said.

The toddler, who was wearing only a diaper, was bruised. He was taken to Children's Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha after he was found about 5:45 p.m. by a resident of the building near 84th and Harrison Streets, police said.

Police do not know his name or the names of his parents, Capt. Bryan Waugh, a La Vista police spokesman, said.

5. Think of it this way.

A) He was found safely, and
B) He's no longer with a parent or parents who obviously weren't good for him.

He's probably going to be better off than he would have been being raised by those kind of folks.

13. At the time this was posted we didn't know the mother was murdered by an older son
