Voted YES on allowing firearms in checked baggage on Amtrak trains. - Bad
Voted YES on prohibiting foreign & UN aid that restricts US gun ownership. - Neutral (Stupid rightwing feel good bill)
Voted YES on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers. - Very Bad (Gun Corporations welfare)
Voted YES on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse. - Very Bad (Gun Corporations welfare)
Voted NO on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1. - Good
Vote NO on the Brady Act requiring background check on all gun purchases. - Bad.
Overall rating Bad. - If any of his opponents have a better record, they will have an advantage over Sanders in winning my vote in this issue.
I am not a one issue voter. The candidate with the best overall score card will win my vote in the primary.

(34,825 posts)I'm also curious over your objection to allowing firearms in checked baggage on Amtrak trains. I would imagine that there is a percentage of hunters that use the train to get to their destination.

(11,619 posts)Cars and guns are not the same thing.
Bernie Sanders has a history of opposing gun regulation, an important public safety issue.
It maybe OK in Vermont. It is not good for the nation.

(11,619 posts)There are a few good, but mostly bad. Voted against the Brady Law. Voted against allowing people like the parents of the kids who were murdered at Sandy Hook from take gun manufacturers to court.

(145,122 posts)I personally like Sanders and would support him if he is the nominee. Sanders' position on the Brady Bill does not affect that view. I really think that this is a bogus argment with respect to Sanders
Please note that as of now, I am supporting Hillary Clinton but is based on my strong opinion that she is the most viable candidate.
