Or private ownership of nuclear weapons.

Bernie is not a Republican, so he loses most of the ground to start with, with NRA maniacs.

Doesn't matter what his actual stance on guns or gun ownership is, he doesn't get enough checks in the boxes.
If he could check these boxes, he'd get a higher grade:
- Pro-Military; supports WoD and "Tough on Crime" Policing, and providing military hardware surplus to police departments.
- A Libertarian when it came to Civil and Property Rights
- Free Marketeer; supports globalization and fewer regulations that make it "hard to do business"
- Belongs to or supports the Chamber of Commerce, the Federalist Society, the CATO institute, and other organizations of that ilk.
- Against Immigration Policy improvement, (with the possible exclusion of simplifying H1Bs)
- Anti-IRS; supports the streamlining of the IRS or supports Flat Tax.
- Believes in "smaller government" - especially about getting rid of those touchy-feely departments like the EPA or HHS that only encourage lazy moochers and weak citizens.
- A Social Conservative or An Apostolic Christian

Oh, yes - and a member of the Republican party.
