Column A makes perfect sense if you believe there is a worldwide cabal of lefties who are consumed with hatred for America, wealthy people, free enterprise, etc. You have to understand how some people feel about motives. We have members of Congress who hate Obama so much they would like to see the country fail so they can see Obama fail. When you hate this passionately, that you wish disaster on your own country, you naturally assume other people have the same motives.
