Two days after Clinton vowed to expand on President Obamas executive actions to shield up to 5 million undocumented immigrants from deportation, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker was one of the only leading Republican 2016 contenders to strike back, calling it a full embrace of amnesty that is unfair to hard-working Americans.
By contrast, former Florida governor Jeb Bush, Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.), Sen. Rand Paul (Ky.) and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie did not weigh in publicly on the remarks Clinton made Tuesday at a campaign stop in Las Vegas. Sen. Ted Cruz (Tex.), one of Obamas most vocal critics on immigration, waited until Wednesday evening to respond on Facebook, writing that Clinton wants to continue and expand President Obamas illegal amnesty and continue the lawlessness that is dividing our country.
Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee told MSNBC on Wednesday that Clinton was wrong, saying the country needs to focus on border security first.

(22,871 posts)White House without 40% of latino voters. Granted,Rubio's pollster might have incentive to make this claim, but if he's right, they're screwed.

(1,495 posts)do it with 35%, but will need a huge boost among rural whites. If the latino vote goes 80%D 20% R, republicans would need 63% of the white vote to win.

(22,871 posts)10-15% of the white vote would seem to be slim to none.

(60,010 posts)Not MSM?
I am wondering if MSM is being ignored/discounted.
right now the Tea Party is holding a convention which is being broadcast on C-Span, but apparently not on MSM.
So when the MSM does cover political news, it seems to want to wait to "analyze" it first.
Which makes it commentary, not news.
