(60,010 posts)It is easy to see, on the map, where the hot coastal Gulf air is blowing up to meet the cooler air coming down from Canada.
Poor Oklahoma is having day after day after day of storms produced from that air collision.

(38,187 posts)They have so many names depending on what it is trying to do at the time. I lost track of what they were calling it. At one point, they were calling it an invest.

(128,527 posts)Yup.
And once it makes landfall (assuming it does), it'll probably become a "tropical depression" and then further weaken into a "tropical wave", and if they are still talking about it, it'll probably become an "extra-tropical rainstorm" (since it would be closer to here in the PA/NJ/DE area off the coast, where the water temps are still in the upper 50s and low 60s). They are forecasting for it to get absorbed in a front sometime next week, and move on east out to sea.. We here in Philly and north would generally miss out on any of its remnants though.

(111,054 posts)And now, about 5 minutes ago, it started raining again. This has been going on for almost a week. I woke up to a very loud hail storm early this morning.
