It is easy to see, on the map, where the hot coastal Gulf air is blowing up to meet the cooler air coming down from Canada.
Poor Oklahoma is having day after day after day of storms produced from that air collision.

it's missing that tropical storm sitting off the coast of the Carolinas! You can see a little of it on land but miss the rest of it!

winds into my area. They aren't calling it a hurricane and I don't feel like looking up what they are calling it this particular minute.

anyway, unless its sustained winds suddenly shot up to 74+ mph (and it maintains its new tropical characteristics).

They have so many names depending on what it is trying to do at the time. I lost track of what they were calling it. At one point, they were calling it an invest.

Yup.

And once it makes landfall (assuming it does), it'll probably become a "tropical depression" and then further weaken into a "tropical wave", and if they are still talking about it, it'll probably become an "extra-tropical rainstorm" (since it would be closer to here in the PA/NJ/DE area off the coast, where the water temps are still in the upper 50s and low 60s). They are forecasting for it to get absorbed in a front sometime next week, and move on east out to sea.. We here in Philly and north would generally miss out on any of its remnants though.

They will believe the 'gummit' is creating a black hole in Colorado to suck all the conservatives and their guns away.

And now, about 5 minutes ago, it started raining again. This has been going on for almost a week. I woke up to a very loud hail storm early this morning.
