When I say enemy, I mean in the political and ideological sense. I'm also referring to the LEADERS of the GOP in state capitals and in Washington. We live with the GOP (most of us) in our communities, so we have to get along with them somehow. The very best of the GOP (the non-racist minority) can be our friends, maybe.
I don't need to provide reams of links to prove the point about global climate change. It's here on DU and has been here on DU for months on end.
Let's stay focused on the fact that THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP IS THE ENEMY. We have to keep them out of the positions of power if at all humanly possible. Our long-term survival on this planet depends on it.

Or is that an exception where they're on the side of "good"? And the overwhelming majority of democrats are on the side of "bad"?

(17,997 posts)It's already a nasty primary. We all need to keep in mind we want the same thing. Just how we get there is up in the air at the moment

(11,833 posts)I cherish friendships with Sanders, Clinton, O'Malley and other democratic supporters. I'm a democratic socialist and a humanist. I think many of us here have pretty broad shoulders (metaphorically, lol) and can understand and be supportive of those with somewhat differing views. That's kind of why it's fun engaging here!

(17,997 posts)Unfortunately, there are a bunch of people that I think really aren't so much Democrats here that try very hard to cause problems.
But, those of us we know are real can deal

After the past few days here. I may spend a lot more time in the groups.
Sadly, I am finding them not to be safe havens anymore. They are following and alerting on us. It happened in Af Am.
Seems we are not safe anywhere. Hekate.
Reality here on DU?
