The Sy Hersh expose and faking the moon landings

Both stories require one to believe that the US government and its representatives managed to pull off a cover up that is impossible in scope and size, that countries that would benefit from US embarrassment suddenly chose to assist in the cover up for no particularly good reason (Soviet Union in the case of the moon conspiracy) and that, somehow, this massive tangled web has held strong over the years without a single person connected to the incidents coming forward to expose it. Keep in mind both stories require literally hundreds of people to be involved in keeping the secret, which is a highly dubious proposition at very best. Finally, both stories require a belief that a lack of evidence to support the cover up is somehow evidence of the cover up.

What Sy Hersh has written is nothing more than the worst kind of conspiracy theory. It saddens me to see what he has become.

The NSA intercepted a phone call which lead them to bin Laden.

On edit: Maybe it was the lie that torture lead them to bin Laden.
