The Senate votes 52-45 against limiting debate on trade promotion authority legislation that would allow a fast tracked approval process for the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal that is under negotiation; 60 votes were needed for it to advance.
That's a huge difference, which makes the chance of bringing it up again in the near future less likely.
