TCM,11:20 PM ET, 'MODERN TIMES', 1936 Charlie Chaplin's classic comedy of the Machine Age.

Also staring Paulette Goddard. Set during the depths of the 1930s Depression, Chaplin's brilliant masterpiece film illuminates the growth of factory assembly line production with humor and the story of the Little Tramp falling in love with heart.
The film's musical theme is the famous song, 'SMILE' recognized around the world.

Sir Charles Chaplin's genius classic work, "MODERN TIMES" is considered one of the Greatest Films of All Time. The 'Big Brother' machine scenes pre date George Orwell's "1984" book published in 1949.

so contemporary. What genius and humor, including the machine scenes, and the classic song 'Smile'. There will never be another one like Sir Charles Chaplin!
