if we all agreed with each other.

Plus, I could care less if folks complain either way. It's their right.

If they go after Obama over this they will look bad to most people.
If they back what Obama did, they will lose face with their constituents.
His timing is good, there's many months until the election.
He drew a line and the repubs will have to choose which side to stand on.

There are quite a few gay republicans (no I will NOT capitalize) but the right wing does not like them. I hope the repukes scream and holler their heads off about Obama being pro marriage equality. They will look like the true a**h***s they are.

Edited because of typos for thinking faster than my fingers could type.

I think the "usual complaints" are very well justified.

Makes a statement like this, the world should celebrate, this is historic.

People have the right to express how they feel in here. I learn from reading posts. I wouldn't if disagreement wasn't allowed here.

I'm learning more lurking today in the LGBT forum. It opens my little mind more. It's a good thing.

For myself, I would never consider *words* from a politician to be historic in and of themselves. Especially not in an election season, and especially not from this particular politician. We'll see where he goes with this in the future, and I hope to have reason to cheer my head off for him next year.

DUers will never be satisfied.

Maybe you should try to find some satisfaction in the usual complaints. I can, and do.
