This was the concern: No True primary to debate the issues.

Reid: Hillary Clinton 'has a clear field' for 2016

I posted this earlier and basically told I was full of it but when you have Harry Reid saying things like this I worry: When and where the American people have a say on the issues. The Primary allows our voice--by polling ---to indicate what is important to us...what we want the candidates to be focused on issues.

When we have party leaders stating things like this and Bernie Sanders being treated like the democratic "court jester" by some in the media and even on this board.

Anyone want to slam me or easy my fears or even agree with me the floor is yours...

Nobody else has.

You can announce; you can give interviews--but you gotta hit the road.

Preventing him from appearing in debates? Blocking him from getting on State ballots?

Reid's opinion, which I acknowledge I agree with, is his analysis of the likely outcome. Nothing more.

But I guess it never hurts to have an excuse if things don't go your way...

I see no path that gives Sanders the nomination. That's MY opinion, based on a lot of hard analysis. And despite my continual requests, nobody on you side has explained a path that does get him the nomination.

Sanders is not a joke and he is a good and serious man.

I am voting for Hillary but applaud Sanders for standing up and running.

That's a real serious problem, the way they were trying to push her through without competition.

But the deeper and more important problem is the way the whole system is dominated by big corporations and the wealthy elite.

It's not just the process that is a problem. That's not our real complaint. It's that the whole system is rotten and corrupt and the Sanders campaign is giving us a chance to stage a little revolt.

Our goal is not just to vent and put on a show of democratic process so we can get some things off our chest. The goal should be to take power from the 1% and give the power to workers and communities. We want to fundamentally change who runs the country. The Sanders campaign gives voice to that movement. It's a little deeper than a only a complaint about wanting to have more debates.

Although that is certainly an important part of it.
